Kris Defoort

Pieces of Peace is a performance composition by Belgian avant-garde jazz pianist and composer Kris Defoort. Our third collaboration with Kris Defoort, this time for a digital, vinyl & compact disc release.

We worked on a typographic poem translating the contemporary approach of the music score. Void, white space, superpositions and change of rythm : a bridge between classical and experimental.

This 3 pieces work is divided into “The Smile”, “Silence and Joy” and “Hope” innspired by Poems by William Blake & Emily Dickinson.
